ENHYPEN VR CONCERT: IMMERSION gets ENGENE (엔진) up close and personal to their bias
As a new 엔진, I had been on the fence about going to ENHYPEN’s concert here in New York later this summer. Mainly because I’m a new mom who can’t hang like she once used to. I also swore to the K-pop gods that if they got me tickets to Stray Kids I wouldn’t go to another concert this year. I ended up being able to go to both days at Citi Field. So, I decided I’m not about to piss off the K-pop gods and chose to not to purchase ENHYPEN tickets (my wallet thanked me).
Those K-pop gods must’ve appreciated my will power (as did my empty wallet) and gave me a way to enjoy a concert without having to go to a concert. ENHYPEN announced their VR Concert: IMMERSION. Produced with AMAZE’s insane immersive technology, a concert goer isn’t simply sitting in a virtual reality concert venue. No, 엔진will be transported into several scenes like gigantic office buildings, deserted factories, and even romantic moonlit rooftops. Not only that, AMAZE has been able to include unique hand gestures that let 엔진 interact with one of the members, Jungwon, Heesung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo or NI-KI, creating personalized moments for every 엔진. Talk about getting a fan fiction moment!
The concert will kick off August 8th in Korea and Japan and global dates to follow with the North American leg of the tour being produced by Hello82.
